Air Guitar for Charity!

Tonight, my place of employment is having a charity auction. Everyone who has a skill, an item, or maybe a sports ticket is putting it up for auction, and the proceeds all go to charity. Well, I don't have sports tickets or a beach house to auction off, and I can't paint or code or teach you to fly a plane, so I had to throw down the only skill I have that anyone's aware of: that's right, I'm auctioning off an "air guitar lesson"! The lucky winner gets to come over to my house, drink a bunch of beers, and Captain Airhab and I will have a 3-part lesson with them:

Part 1: Research. We'll watch a bunch of Youtube videos of champs and heroes, explain judging, and generally talk about how the whole thing works.

Part 2: Basics. We'll start them off trying some moves! This may be where the really heavy drinking starts, depending on their level of timidity. Then again, timid people probably won't bid. It's possible that no one will bid.

Part 3: Customizing. We'll help them put together the beginnings of an actual routine! It's best if they pick their own song, but we have some edits hanging around if Airhab doesn't mind parting with one of his second round possibilities.

And then, if they love it enough that they want to sign up, part of the prize includes me paying their entry fee for next year's Boston qualifier. Because everything I do... I do it for you. Hey now, no, Bryan Adams, I do it for SIGNUPS.

Obviously, a lesson from me isn't worth much.  A lesson from Airhab is, naturally, worth more. A lesson from a bunch of Boston air guitarists - including maybe even some past champs? Hey? Hey?? - is worth its weight in gold. So if you've got a little free time, and you want to help grow the sport, let me know! I'd love to have some help! I'll provide the beer and probably snacks!
