It was a night of new beginnings. It was a night of a lot of things, to be fair, but there were new names, new performers, and new judges, and everyone came away happy and excited for next year. And, as an indication of a good show, there was plenty of rehashing how people did later on - should this competitor have gotten this score, how amazing was that move - so the crowd was engaged and thinking about the performances. I love that!

It's official: the 2015 US Air Guitar Boston Qualifier will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 at TT the Bear's Place at 5pm. Like last year, this is an early show to leave more time to celebrate afterwards!

You may recall that I am very adamant about bringing US Air Guitar nationals to Boston in 2015. I am aware that our main competition, at least in terms of cities trying to make a case for themselves, is Portland, OR. While I love Portland and would like an excuse to visit again, their year can wait. This year is Boston's year. Here are my top reasons why.

Remember how last year there was some grassroots support, including my own, for having US Air Guitar Nationals in Kansas City, and then it actually happened? Well, now it's time for me to turn that same high-powered spotlight (ha!) on the town I actually live in, Boston!
