Second-Hand Recap: 2015 Central PA US Air Guitar Qualifier

It was a big night for air guitar on April 25th. Three qualifiers in three different cities, and two of them were virgin territory (and also there haven't been US Air Guitar competitions there... heyoooo!). One of these was Shippensburg, PA, which hosted their first qualifier under the auspices of their local competitive bearding group, Bearding Man.

Chicago's competitive air guitar scene is a strange beast. It's chock-full of talent, but there are also a lot of big names there who are retired or semi-retired. This year, like last year, the qualifier was a small and intimate affair, wherein everyone went to round 2 and the venue was a basement that mocked at people's attempts to connect to the internets. But that didn't stop it from being a totally face-rocking show.

Talk about your late-breaking news. Details have literally JUST NOW surfaced about an air guitar qualifier held at Burning Man last summer - right after 2014 US Air Guitar Nationals, so it was technically part of the 2015 season.
